Principal's Message

Teresa Dickerson

Welcome to Trousdale County High School located in Hartsville, Tennessee., home of the Yellow Jackets.  I am Teresa Dickerson, Principal, and my Assistant Principal is Ben Johnson.  We are currently beginning our 9th year together and are very proud of our school and all it represents. We are constantly in pursuit to be better and our mission is “Accelerating and Graduating All Students for the Careers of Tomorrow”.  We are a small town school with approximately 400 students and 32 teachers.  Over the last few years, we achieved “Reward Status" twice, was named a district SCORE Prize winner twice, and identified as a National Blue Ribbon School.

Reopening school is a priority this year with the COVID 19 pandemic and we are currently beginning school on July 30, 2020 in a Hybrid Model as well as a virtual model.  Students will attend school 2 days a week and will learn from home the other 3. Virtual students will learn from home 5 days a week through Google Classroom.  We will continue to run a Modified A/B Block schedule with most Math and ELA classes double blocked.  All students will be able to earn 8 credits per year as normal.  Plans are in place, for the future, to return to the traditional 5 day, learn from school model, when mandated by the Trousdale County Board of Education.  Our goal is the safety of all students and staff.  If you have questions or concerns, feel free to contact me at  Please visit our website at and select high school for more information.
