Welcome to Trousdale County High School, home of the Yellow Jackets. I am Teresa Dickerson, Principal, and Ben Johnson is the Assistant Principal. We are very proud of our school and all it represents; we are constantly in pursuit to be better. Our mission is “Accelerating and Graduating All Students for the Careers of Tomorrow”. Trousdale County High School is currently ranked 17th of the top twenty high schools in the state of Tennessee according to the NICHE survey of best schools. We are a small hometown school with approximately 400 students and 33 teachers. Over the last few years, we achieved “Reward” status twice, was named a district SCORE Prize winner twice, and the 2015 National Blue Ribbon School.
We run a Modified A/B Block schedule with most Math and ELA classes double blocked. Our class rank policy is not only based on overall averages but is also linked to ACT College Readiness Benchmarks. Our students have the opportunity to achieve 12 hours of college credit through a partnership with Volunteer State Community College, and juniors and seniors are able to attend classes through the Tennessee College of Applied Technology.
I hope that everyone takes the initiative to be involved whether it be in supporting academic goals, cheering our athletes or simply providing positive support to our students and staff. If you have questions or concerns, know that my door is open, and feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
