8th & 9th-grade Students Visit Volunteer State Community College vol state

On Thursday, May 12 all 8th and 9th-grade students visited Volunteer State Community College. Students received a welcome by President, Dr. Orinthia Montague and campus tours by Vol State staff. Students visited classrooms and met professors of their top postsecondary career options. Presently, 40% of Trousdale County graduates attend Volunteer State Community College through the Tennessee Promise grant. 

Trousdale County Schools Announce Close of the Year Dates dates

Trousdale County Schools have announced that it will not administer end of the year examinations; therefore, the last student day will be Monday, May 16. Please see other important end of the year dates:

This week, U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona visited Trousdale County to learn about students’ experiences during the Covid-19 pandemic. TCHS students Zion Badru, Cynthia Esquivel, Lamont Mitchell, Zander Napier, and Piper Triplett shared the successes and challenges of learning during a pandemic as they prepare for college and future careers.

School Board Approves 2022-23 School District Calendar calendar

In its Regular December Meeting, the School Board approved the 2022-23 School District Calendar. Students will begin the new school year on July 25 and they have a full week for both fall and spring breaks, three days for Thanksgiving break, and (11) days for Christmas break. The 2022-23 school year will conclude with Graduation on May 19, 2023.
