A little about my self:
I LOVE math! I am starting my 24th year teaching at Jim B. Satterfield Middle School. Twenty-three of those years teaching seventh grade math. I am a graduate of Trousdale County High School, received my Bachelors degree from Cumberland University, and both my Masters and EDS from Tennessee Tech University. I still utilize TTU for professional development any and every chance I get. I have two children, Dillon and Mallorie. We love to travel, especially out West, where we spend a lot of our time hiking and exploring National Parks. My children keep me very active as well as young, I like to say. Mallorie is attending flight attendant school in Washington State for the next five months and Dillon added a wonderful new addition to our family in May, Cassidy, my daughter in law. I am proud of each of them for the paths they have chosen and the success they have obtained up to this point in their lives. I also have two nephews who attend TCES, Benjamin and Luke Smith. In my spare time I love to run, workout and read. Some of you may have also seen me on the weekends and during breaks at my part time job, Unique Specialty Boutique, selling women's clothing. I love teaching and working with children. There is nothing as rewarding as watching a child's eyes light up when they understand something new.
