Trousdale Co Schools will release all students in grades K-12 at 12:15 PM on Friday, Jan. 27 for Power Friday teacher development.

January 23-27 is Board Appreciation Week in Tennessee. Please take time this week to thank our Board members for the outstanding work they do serving our students and our community. "I sincerely appreciate their dedication and commitment to ensuring that local voices impact our public schools", stated Dr. Clint Satterfield, Director of Schools.

2023 Summer Learning Camp Registration Now Open Until March 3 summer learning camp

The 2023 Summer Learning Camp Registration for rising 1-8 graders is now open until March 3. This years' camp will be held Monday - Friday, June 5 - 30. Due to the new TN 3rd grade Retention Law, 3rd grade parents are encouraged to reserve a placement should their student require summer camp participation for promotion.  

Senator Haile and Representative Slater Visits Trousdale County Schools haile slater satterfield

Senator Ferrell Haile and Representative William Slater both assigned to their respective State Education Committees spent Friday morning meeting with members of the Board of Education (John Kerr, Deanna Bode, Racheal Petty, and Barbara Towns) and Trousdale Elementary administrators and teachers discussing how the new TN Literacy Success Act can best support students to read on grade level by the end of third grade. The representatives visited classroom reading instruction and participated in a round table discussion with early grade teachers. Senator Haile stated, "It's always a learning experience when we visit Trousdale." 

IMPORANT: Bus #4 and #12 to return to original schedules - January 23 bus

Beginning Monday, January 23 buses #4 and #12 will return to their original bus service routes.

New 2023 Summer Learning Camp Dates Released summer learning camp

Summer Learning Camp will be held Monday -Friday for students in grades 3-8 beginning June 5 and continuing 5 days per week through June 30. 3rd grade parents are encouraged to reserve these dates in advance of the new State Retention Law. Registration information will become available in early February. 

Important: Bus #4 and #12 Bus Routing Changes for 2023 bus

Morning and afternoon time changes for buses #4 and #12 begin on Wednesday, January 4, 2023. Please read the notification letter that was provided to students during the last week in December. 

Board Approves School District Calendar for 2023-24 calendar

In its December meeting, the Trousdale County School Board approved the school calendar for the next 2023-24 school year. For the first time, the new calendar adds a whole week for Thanksgiving, November 20-24 while keeping an entire week for both fall and spring breaks. The new calendar starts school on Thursday, July 27, 2023 with seniors graduating on Friday, May 17, 2024.

Important Changes for Buses #15, #4, and #12 begin January 4, 2023 bus

Bus routing will change for students riding buses #15, #4, and #12 beginning next semester, Wednesday, January 4, 2023. The letter below was sent home by students the last week of school. Parents are encouraged to read the letter and make necessary adjustments for the next semester. Trousdale County Schools appreciates your patience and understanding for the challenges schools are experiencing with bus driver shortages.
