The Trousdale County Marching Yellow Jackets continued a successful 2015 competition season this past Saturday, October 3, by winning their class at the Highland Rim Marching Invitational at Westmoreland.In addition, Field Commanders Jordan Null & Stephanie Tackett earned first place, percussion and guard earned second, and soloists Caroline Guffey took second place soloists out of the entire competition.
Last week, TCHS hosted the largest marching competition in the state of Tennessee with 26 bands entered to compete. Forrest High School of Chapel Hill, TN, won for the 10th time out of the 11 years Trousdale has hosted the competition.
Earlier, On September 12 the Marching Yellow Jackets finished 4th place at the Indian Nation marching competition in Cunningham, TN, and on September 19 finished 4th in class at the prestigious Hendersonville Golden Invitational, and finished 3rd in class at the Eagle Invitational at Clarksville Northeast. In addition, the Field Commanders won their class and finished 4th place out of the entire competition.
This week the Band travels to the Middle Tennessee Small Band Championship, at Forrest.
