Dr. Clint Satterfield, Trousdale County Director of Schools, has announced Dr. Casey Kuhn as the next principal of Trousdale County High School.

Kuhn has served as the assistant principal of Springfield High School in Robertson County since the 2019-2020 school year. Prior to that position, he served as a teacher and assistant principal in Dysart Unified School District in Arizona for eleven years.

“With 14 years in public education as a teacher and assistant principal, Dr. Kuhn has the experience and credentials to effectively serve as our high school principal,” said Satterfield. “However, most importantly, it is evident that Dr. Kuhn has the heart to do this important work. He is relentlessly focused on success for all students, and he will build the relationships with students, families, and teachers that are key to successfully lead a high school.”

Kuhn resides in Trousdale County and looks forward to serving his own community.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to join Trousdale County Schools and serve the community where I live. Joining Trousdale County High School is exciting to me because in a small community school, I will be able to get to know students well to cultivate positive relationships and encourage them on an individual basis,” said Kuhn. “TCHS has a proud tradition of academic and athletic excellence. I look forward to continuing established traditions while exploring new ways to expand learning opportunities for students. I’m committed to leading a school community where all students are safe and supported, so they can thrive.”

Kuhn will transition into his role this month, working alongside current principal Teresa Dickerson before her official retirement at the end of June.
