Two hundred nine (209) students in grades K-7 participated in Trousdale County’s Summer Learning Camp during the month of June. Students were placed in the grade level they would be in during the 2022-23 school year, which accelerated their learning in reading and math. Every student had access to certified teachers. Students received rigorous instruction, which included hands on activities, and were able to earn tickets for awards each day. School dismissed each day at 1:30 at which point there was an option to attend afterschool STREAM, a program taught by certified science teachers. Approximately 70 students took advantage of this program each day. Summer Learning Camp ended on June 30, 2022 with a field trip to the Nashville Zoo.
