Trousdale County Schools needs qualified bus drivers to staff all of its routes. Presently, the district does NOT have a driver for bus #9, therefore bus service cannot be provided for bus route #9. We regret the inconvenience that this presents for parents.

The TDOE has canceled online assessments for 2016-17. The online assessments are being replaced with paper/pencil versions. TNReady assessments are tentatively set to begin February 26 - March 4. The National Football Foundation jointly awarded the Roy Kramer Contribution to Football Award to Jim and Clint Satterfield. The award is presented to individuals who have been instrumental in promoting the game of football with the highest degree of leadership, integrity and participation. The Satterfields walked Trousdale County sidelines from 1955-2017, and both coach are inductees of the TSSAA Hall of Fame.

The TTU STEM mobile provides state-of-the art integrated science and math experiences for middle school students. The STEM mobile is provided each year by the Upper Cumberland Rural STEM Initiative in collaboration with the TTU Millard Oakley STEM Center.

The Trousdale County Health Department will be offering Flu Shots to students during on-site Flu Clinics at each school on November 3. If you would like for your student to participate you must sign up in advance and complete paperwork. Announcement forms have gone home this week at TCES and JSMS and will go out at TCHS after the break. If you need a form (one per child) and do not receive one, please let your child's school know, call the Health Department at (615) 374-2101, or Kathy Atwood at (615) 374-0907. Absolutely no shots will be given without a signed parent permission and completion of paperwork.

The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program is the United States' largest youth recognition program based exclusively on volunteer community service. The program was created in 1995 by Prudential in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) to honor middle level and high school students for outstanding service to others at the local, state, and national level.
The Trousdale County Marching Yellow Jackets continued a successful 2015 competition season this past Saturday, October 3, by winning their class at the Highland Rim Marching Invitational at Westmoreland.

Students from Trousdale County High Schools music program recently auditioned for the Nashville Youth Orchestra Program. Connor Belcher made the Curb Youth Symphony Orchestra. Also, Amy Hix and Caroline Guffey made the Nashville Philharmonia Orchestra, and Brenee Key made the Repertory Youth Orchestra.

Parent letters will be sent home by students on Friday, Aug.11 with information for setting up parent username and passwords for accessing PowerSchool Parent Portal. Parent Portal allows parents to view student grades and attendance.
Students were recognized for improving the most on each benchmark. Students take quarterly benchmarks in each of the 9 tested courses in the high school.
