2026 FFA State Convention Recap

2026 FFA State Convention Recap

Throughout the week, our TCHS FFA members had the opportunity to engage in leadership development, career exploration, and competitive events while representing our school and community with pride.

Our chapter had several students compete in Career and Leadership Development Events. Evan Duplechin represented our chapter in the Ag Science Fair, while our Agronomy, Farm Business, and Quiz Bowl teams also competed. Students demonstrated strong work ethic and professionalism throughout their events, and we are awaiting final placings for some competitions later this week.

In addition to competitions, our chapter was recognized for several outstanding achievements. We were honored to receive the Superior Chapter Award, earned recognition for a 10% Membership Increase, and were awarded the Gold PLOW Award for our literacy initiative and community outreach efforts.

We are especially proud of our individual student recognitions. Anna Towns was recognized as a recipient of the Tennessee Pork Producers Scholarship. Additionally, three of our seniors—Colton Gross, Nathan Shoulders, and Anna Towns—were awarded their State FFA Degrees, which is one of the highest honors a member can achieve at the state level.

We also want to recognize Addysyn Spangler, who was selected to showcase her Supervised Agricultural Experience in the Field of Excellence Room, representing the high-quality work being done by our students.

Our students also had the opportunity to participate in convention sessions, interact with members from across the state, and build connections that will benefit them in their future careers. Beyond the convention itself, we were able to spend time together as a chapter, strengthening relationships and creating a positive experience for our students.

We am incredibly proud of how our students represented Trousdale County High School. Their behavior, effort, and achievements are a direct reflection of the support they receive from our school system and community.
