Sean Link Named Trousdale County Softball Coach

Trousdale County Director of Schools, Dr. Clint Satterfield, announced that he has named former Red Boiling Springs head softball and football coach as the new head softball coach at Trousdale County High School. Coach Link previously served as the softball coach at Gallatin for five years and one year at Wilson Central High before taking over the Red Boiling Springs position in 2017.

During Coach Link’s five-year tenure at Red Boiling, he was named the district’s Coach of the Year in 2022 when the Lady Bulldogs finished second in District 7A. Coach Link posted a winning season four of the five years he was the head coach. In addition to coaching softball, Coach Link also served as head football coach at Red Boiling. Link’s children will also be accompanying him as he transitions to Trousdale. His youngest son, Aiden is a three-sport athlete and his youngest daughter, Sara, is a pitcher. Additionally, his adult daughters Savannah and Sidney have been hired as teachers and will assist Coach Link with both the high school and middle school softball teams. “We got the entire family in the package!” stated Dr. Satterfield. “We are excited to welcome Coach Link and his family into our Trousdale family” stated newly appointed Principal, J.Brim McCall.

Coach Link, a special education teacher, obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Lipscomb University and his Education Specialist degree from Arkansas State. He will be teaching at Jim Satterfield Middle School in August.
