Trousdale County Schools Announce New Principal Assignments for 2024-25

 

Director of Schools, Dr. Clint Satterfield has officially announced new assignments of school administrators for the upcoming 2024-25 school year. Leadership at Trousdale County Elementary continues to be led by Ms. Demetrice Badru, Principal and Ms. Kellie Porter, Assistant Principal.  Mr. J Brim McCall will assume the principal ship at Trousdale County High for the 2024-25 school year where he will work with assistant principal, Dr. Cecelia Stricker.  Mr. McCall has been the principal at Jim Satterfield Middle School for the past 10 years.  While under his leadership, the school has been designated as an Exemplary School by the TN Department of Education for the past two years. Mr. McCall graduated from Trousdale County High School and obtained a BA degree from the University of Tennessee and a Master’s Degree in Instructional Leadership from Tennessee Tech University. Mr. McCall began his career at Trousdale County High School where he taught Economics/Government/ US History for 4 years where he also served as the assistant basketball coach and head track coach. He began his administration career as an assistant principal at the middle school for two years before being named principal of the school in 2014. J.Brim is married to Emily and they have 3 children, Oakley who will be a freshman, and twins Whitman and Ameilia who will be in the 2nd grade.

Former assistant principal Landon Gulley has been elevated as Principal at Jim Satterfield Middle School.  Mr. Gulley is a lifelong resident of Trousdale County and has 16 years of teaching experience.  He started his educational career at Trousdale County High School in 2008 where he taught Algebra.  In 2010, he moved to the Middle School where he taught 8th grade math for 14 years and served as the math instructional chair for 11 of those years.  Mr. Gulley has been the Assistant Principal at the middle school for the past 3 years.  He graduated from Trousdale County High School and obtained his Associates Degree from Vol State, his Bachelor’s Degree from TSU and his Master’s Degree in Instructional Leadership from Cumberland University.  Landon is married to Heather and they have 3 children, Heath who will be a freshman, Hayes who will be in 6th grade and a 4 month old daughter, Huntleigh.

Former elementary teacher, Gena Cothron has been named as the new Assistant Principal at Jim Satterfield Middle School.  Mrs. Cothron is a lifelong resident of Trousdale County and has 10 years of teaching experience at the Elementary School.  She started her educational career in 2nd grade then moved to 3rd grade where she has taught for the past 8 years.  She has served as a grade level chair for the past 4 years and Summer Learning Camp Principal for the past 3 years.  Mrs. Cothron graduated from Trousdale County High School and obtained her Associate’s Degree from Vol State, Bachelor’s degree from TSU and her Master’s Degree in Instructional Leadership from Cumberland University.  Gena is married to Adam Cothron and they have 2 sons, Maverick who will be in 4th grade and Marshall who will be in 3rd grade.
